a mexican drug cartel was looking to pay for the construction of a skyscraper in miami. a man seeking to avoid heavy traffic in the congested city of miami contacts the gangsters, promising that he is a friend of the family of a woman in a prominent position, and that she will approve the construction of their building. in return, the man is to be paid ten million dollars. the papers are signed and the deal is sealed. the man is taken away and killed. the cartel celebrates the killing.
suddenly, the cartel starts receiving threats. a fax in possession of an anonymous caller promises that, if the cartel refuses to pay the promised amount, a bomb will go off in their offices on the day of the planned celebration. the cartel leaders send word to the friends of the family in miami, that even if this were all that went wrong, the building would not be delayed. this newspaper is littered with the words of a man named cid. cid the killer believed that only he could get to the source of the threat, and that if he performed his dirty deeds before the attention of the cartel, he would be rewarded with wealth untold. cid looked to the skies and prayed for the heavens to open above him.
